Master of Science in Communication Sciences and Disorders
Formally known as a master’s degree in speech, language and auditory pathology, this 3-year program incorporates online coursework with clinical practicums that provide direct client contact hours. Admission requirements include an undergraduate degree in speech language pathology. Online course topics include language development, phonetics, articulation disorders, speech science and linguistic impairments. The program’s hands-on practical components include 25 observation hours and 375 supervised contact hours diagnosing and treating communication disorders. An on-campus summer residency is required if you are not able to arrange appropriate sites and supervisors for clinical experiences in your immediate geographical location.

You are also responsible for arranging clinical practicums in your geographic location to be completed under the supervision of a professional speech pathologist certified by the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA).
